My sister is one of the lucky ones who never found breastfeeding painful. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it will be an exciting experience! I'm really hoping that Arbor will wean herself before she starts school, but I'd like to keep her on mother's milk as long as she will take it. I've even considered expressing my milk and continuing to give it to her in place of cow's milk until I can't produce anymore.

Well, I haven't been given much advice about breastfeeding (since I haven't been pregnant yet!). BUT, I do know that it usually hurts the very first few times (even if you are "doing it right" it will hurt a little bit). My mother did EBF with my brother and sister for nearly a year and gently weaned them. I'm not sure why she decide to wean my sister, but my brother had started biting her a lot. It was a mutual decision with the doctor that it would be less stressful to wean him than to have him associate nursing with punishment or trouble. My sister kind of started to lose interest in nursing around a year old, but she probably would have continued a little while longer. I'm really excited for you to experience nursing, though! (I can't wait to have my own one day, too!)

Thanks for the idea! I Have been really busy this week and missed one bathroom and Wednesday worth of chores, so I'm giving myself one more week on the Pinterest idea, then I may have to try out your 15 minutes a day schedule.

I do a 15 minute a day cleaning and its really worked out. I used to do a huge clean once every other week but it takes 3 hours or so (we have a pretty small house) but still, finding 3 hours was difficult. I started to think that it would be near impossible with an infant and toddler so I needed something else. I linked to the schedule in one of my first posts - Overwhelmed by Eating Clean. I modified it a bit for me - I do both bathrooms on one day instead of taking out those supplies twice during the week. I moved the kitchen day to Wednesday because we usually eat out on Wednesday anyways since we go to church that night and I like to clean the kitchen on a day when I am not going to turn around and cook in it! Try it out - I really like it and it does seem to keep my house cleaner for longer.

I can't even imagine handling this when it's my turn... the idea infuriates me as a non pregnant person.

The first time I thought about it was on my wedding day. I went to the store last minute with my sister-in-law (who was 8 mo. pregnant with my niece) and my mother. A man that my SIL hadn't seen in years, who used to work with her dad, came up to her and started rubbing her belly. He rambled on about how he didn't know she'd gotten married or that she was pregnant. When are you due? Boy or girl? Names? All while rubbing her belly. I was shocked that she didn't tell him to back off.

I don't like being touched by most people now. I'm not a "hug" person... I hug my husband. That's it. I don't even understand the whole "hug your grandparents when you see them" thing. That's my space... stay out of it.

I make it known I don't like hugs as a non-pregnant woman. I'm sure I will lack your restraint when I'm pregnant and have people rubbing my belly!

Hahahaha! How amazing! I'm grateful for my husband's presence now that I'm huge and pregnant. Baby responds to the sound of his voice, and when she's shoved herself in an uncomfortable position, like my rib cage, he can always gently coax her to move to a more comfy area, like my lower abdomen. I think it's too funny that she won't let him see the BIG belly movements (like kicking around a remote control.) She always stops as soon as I try to show him.

I love it when my husband can feel the baby. You are right, that does seem to make it real for everyone. This baby is so active I can put the remote control on my belly and he can kick it all around - talk about a visual!!
