Molly Mathews

My name is Molly. I have been married for 5 years and have two children. A 10 year old step-son, a 2 year old daughter and I am currently 26 weeks pregnant with a boy! I live in the town I grew up in and have a large family that I see often. We all live close to each other right now and I hope it stays that way as we draw a lot of support from one another. I have been a nurse for 6 years, mostly in the emergency department, and I love my job. Since young childhood I dreamed of being a nurse and a mom and here I am both! I couldn't have imagined how difficult the journey would be but neither could I have fathomed the Joy that would come from both. Becoming a mom has made me into a better person in many ways and a bit of a crazy worry wart in other ways! Having support from other moms who have been there before or are there with you makes all the difference in the world!

Hi everyone! My name is Donna Gargett. I am totally in love with my family. I have a three- year-old, Ava, and a four- year- old, Bella, who are at the center of my heart. But I wouldn't have this loving family if it wasn't for my husband David who shares the same fun loving spirit I do. I always tell my husband I never know what to say to the women that complain about their husbands, I just can't relate. I grew up in California, but have been more at peace in North Carolina. When I told my friend I moved again she told me that my life was far from boring. After getting my BA in psychology I worked as a case manager for mental health. I was touched by the struggles I saw other people endure and tried to assist them any way I could by providing resources that they could not provide for themselves. As my "clock"started ticking I thought my career should take a turn towards start a family, so I became a Director at a private day school. I was able to take my daughter with me and daycare was much more affordable. As many of you can relate, with every move it is hard to maintain the same position and I was forced to think outside the box. My husband and I put our heads together and created a business, Dave's Darn Good Food. My husband is an amazing chef and I love getting out and selling our salsa, sauces and dressings at the Farmer's Market and to local stores. Somehow, I have become known as, "The Salsa Lady", so much so my daughter introduced me to another mom as, "The Salsa Lady". I have dabbled in a lot of extra curricular activities before having children such as; completing two marathons, salsa dancer, published a poem, wrote for a LA magazine, sold oil paintings and had my own exhibit. I am looking to get back to some of my creative joys which includes writing. I thought this would be a great way to combined my two loves; my family and writing in a blog.
