Hi everyone! My name is Cassy Fiano and I'm making the move over here to TummyTime from Cuddlebugs where I've been blogging for a few months now. Let me tell you all a little about me. I was born in Jacksonville, Florida. My husband and I met when we were twelve, at a birthday party where he fell on the pool deck and broke one of his front teeth. My husband is a Marine, and has been serving in the Corps for over six years now. We got married on May 08, 2010. My husband and I knew that we wanted to have a family and that when we did, I would be a stay-at-home mommy. We also knew we wanted to get cracking on our family right away! So in July of 2010, we found out I was pregnant, and on the day of my first doctor’s appointment, he deployed to Afghanistan. After a rough pregnancy filled with complications ranging from bleeding and preterm contractions to a bout with pre-eclampsia, I gave birth to our son, Benjamin, on March 29, 2011. His head was a little bit too big -- well, three centimeters too big! -- so we ended up having a c-section. Luckily, my husband was home just in time. The day we went to the hospital to have Ben was the day he came home! Ben is now around seven months old, and surprise! We're pregnant again! Unlike Ben's pregnancy, this one was definitely not planned. But we're still just as thrilled to be having another little one join our family! One of the big downsides is that Matt is gearing up for yet another deployment, and he'll be missing this birth altogether. The best part is that I'll have the joy of dealing with a toddler and a newborn all by myself! Oh, and the homecoming will be extraordinarily emotional and intense, I'm sure. I can't wait to share our stories with you!

Hands OFF The Belly
