Babies look sweet and are sweet usually. They seem so gentle and cuddly but in reality can be dangerous! Being around kids is amazing to me- they are people who truly don’t care what others think and they will be themselves no matter what. They are the essence of human innocence.
Babies like to grab things even if those things are on your face and are attached! I know what to say and do when my 3 year old is being too rough but what about Caelum (who just turned 1 today!)? So far I just nicely say “no-no” and redirect him. This doesn’t seem to work very well because he hits and grabs when he is excited which is most of the time because when your 1 pretty much everything is exciting!
It’s a minor issue that I hadn’t given much thought to until we had family over for his birthday and I noticed how he was slightly difficult for them to hold because it was like holding a circus monkey! I’ve stopped wearing earrings and definitely need to wear contacts instead of my glasses. His new thing is to slap your face as if you were a drum set and boy is that interesting.
Any tips on how to keep a wiggly monkey-baby calm?
