Traveling With a Newborn and a Pre-Toddler…PART 3
This is the final chapter to my traveling saga. It is almost over, I promise. As our traveling trip wound down to a close my husband and I were starting to get the hang of things. This long journey taught us a lot about parenthood and marriage in general. We learned a few tricks in dealing with the kids as we travel and developed our own little action plan for potty breaks and diaper changes.
I would not change one bit of our trip. We were able to visit relatives and show off the new baby. Most of all we were able to spend time as a family and enjoy getting to know one another. It has been awhile since we have been able to spend time together and just enjoy being around each other.
The most memorable moment for me was watching my son run around on the beach with my husband and dog. They were so cute together. We walked on the beach and collected seashells. My son was so amazed by the ocean. I was happy my dog had a few moments to stretch his legs and run around in the sand. It was truly memorable.
I am already planning our next family vacation. I would love to take our son to Disney World for his 2nd b irthday. I’m not sure how its going to be taking a toddler to Disney World though. I’m thinking about the blazing heat, long lines, and his need to run away from me and his dad every chance he gets. It could be a nightmare trip instead of family fun.
