Molly Mathews

My name is Molly. I have been married for 5 years and have two children. A 10 year old step-son, a 2 year old daughter and I am currently 26 weeks pregnant with a boy! I live in the town I grew up in and have a large family that I see often. We all live close to each other right now and I hope it stays that way as we draw a lot of support from one another. I have been a nurse for 6 years, mostly in the emergency department, and I love my job. Since young childhood I dreamed of being a nurse and a mom and here I am both! I couldn't have imagined how difficult the journey would be but neither could I have fathomed the Joy that would come from both. Becoming a mom has made me into a better person in many ways and a bit of a crazy worry wart in other ways! Having support from other moms who have been there before or are there with you makes all the difference in the world!

Levi likes Applebees!

This is what being "full of the cuteness" looks like.

Blake and I took Levi to Applebees the other day for Veteran’s Day. Our child never ceases to amaze me with all the new personality traits he develops. Blake and I were thinking it was just going to be another day with Levi mastering his new ”sitting in a high chair in a restaurant” trick but NO, Levi must exceed our expectations! He’s such a smart little boy!!

So, the three of us are sitting at the table and Levi is trying to play with everything on our table. He starts getting bored and restless, like some babies can do. Mommy’s on it though! Levi has this cute thing he’ll do with me where I tilt my head down and look at him and he’ll do the same thing as we put our heads together. It’s kinda of like Eskimo kisses with our foreheads instead of with our noses. Anyways, as Levi is getting bored at the table (and he’s sitting on the opposite side of the table from me with Blake) I decide to see if he’ll do our little trick from a distance. I make eye contact with him and we lock our eyes. He’s giving me a little smirk as I’m lowering my head to the table, and he’s following my actions with the same pace. As I put my chin down on the table, he does the same. Blake and I just start laughing because it’s so cute, especially because during lunch we did it over again about 5 more times.

Little man just keeps amazing us with his cuteness. My mom says that Levi is “just full of the cuteness!” and I have to agree with her. I’m so happy that Blake and Levi and I can share all these milestones together and I can’t wait to see what else our Levi has up his little 7 month old sleeves!
